Woke up around 9 this morning and went for a quick run before checking out and showering etc. Managed to get a bit of chatting done on Facebook before the bus came which was nice! Ended up giving into the temptation of the bakery next door to the hostel but had an awesome sandwich - so worth it!
When the bus arrived met a really nice dutch girl called Esther who chatted to us on the bus too. After all the pickups etc were done we hit the road, and stopped at a winery for wine tasting which was cool! We tried four wines, and the sauvignon blanc was really nice so Julia, Gemma and I got two bottles between us for the next couple of nights.
There was a lot more driving after that. We stopped at an airfield where we would be going if we wanted to do hang gliding - I signed up to do it Monday morning :) excited! After a stop to pick up food for the next couple of days we were off to our hostel!
We stayed at Old Macdonald's Farm which was pretty cool, almost like camping - we had small cabins to sleep in and a communal kitchen/living area...complete with portaloos! Nice haha. Julia was quick to realise we should grab the cabin closest to the toilets for when it got cold at night haha, so after that stroke of genius I claimed a cabin for Julia, Gemma, Esther and a German guy called David. It was nice enough - lots of bugs!
We chilled out in the kitchen for a bit, there was a group meal but I didn't bother with it as I couldn't really be bothered, I had a few bites of Julia's though and it was pretty good! Met some nice people, loads of Germans! Will be speaking German again in no time. We had one of our bottles of wine between the 3 of us and I had one of the Boysenberry ciders that I had picked up that was really nice! We had an early start in the morning though so went to bed fairly early.
