Up early this morning to hike up Franz Josef glacier! After getting kitted out with our hiking gear we drove to the base where we got divided into groups. Then we climbed the glacier! It was pretty amazing, we started off on normal land and then were on ice! Our guide was cutting steps out of the ice ahead of us for us to walk on. Really stubbing views! Today we travelled to Franz Josef! We had a late departure as some people were doing morning activities so we had to wait for them. Got up just before 10 to checkout, went to the shops to have a look around/get food, quick stop in McDonalds for Internet and then back to the hostel to get on the bus!
