We were up early this morning to go hang-gliding before the bus left! It was so amazing! I went first and we literally flew into the sunrise. You get attached to the glider above the guy who flies it, and a plane tows you up into the sky and then lets go and you drift down to the ground! It really was awesome, really relaxing! I got to control it at bits as well, turning and stuff which was really fun. The only problem was I hasn't thought to wear shoes so my toes were verrrry cold! still awesome though! After my turn we watched the other 4 go and then the bus came to pick us up!
Today we travelled to a town called Greymouth on the way to Franz Josef! The journey was pretty long, with a good few stops along the way to take pictures. I wasn't having the best day ever, because when we got to a place called the pancake rocks my camera stopped working! It refused to even close up! I was seriously gutted. Figured it would hopefully sort itself out at some point. We watched Crazy Stupid Love on the bus which was good, really love that movie!
When we arrived into Greymouth and checked into the hostel Julia ran to do the brewery tour but I couldn't really be bothered as we literally had 5 minutes after we had arrived to decide if we wanted to our not! So just chilled out at the hostel. A group of us walked to the shop to get food and a few drinks. Had free soup for dinner which was pretty good. Was absolutely over the moon to find a piano in the hostel! It was pretty out of tune but not too bad and I totally monopolised it and tortured everyone's ears playing all night haha! Loved it though! The Italians on our bus had made pizza and I had some of the leftovers which was seriously yummy!
It was Dippy's (the bus driver) birthday today so we had a drink or two in the bar with him. There weren't many people about though and I was fairly tired so had an early enough night.
We got free Internet which was cool because I finally got to watch some of the Pointless episode with Jimmy and Dan in it that I'd wanted to see for months! It was pretty hilarious, and I had to explain to Christie in my room why I was laughing so much haha.
