(12 October continued)
After the killing fields we went for lunch at a not for profit restaurant that trains young people to work. It was really nice, a bit pricey by Cambodia standards but was for a good cause! I felt a bit better after lunch and tried to just put the morning behind me.
We went to the museum which was pretty cool, had a beautiful garden and a bit of excitement haha, when there was a snake killing a massive gecko...lol. Then we went to the palace, which was really cool, although we just got inside when it started to pour, and we had loads of thunder and lightening right above our heads. We kept running between the buildings between showers and when we got out it looked like it would be dry again. A few of the girls went to get their nails done, and I shared a tuk tuk back to the hotel for a rest. After about 2 minutes the rain started crazily heavily! Was very glad we weren't walking. Got soaked even just in the 3 steps between the tuk tuk and the hotel! Just chilled out in the room and watched Horrible Bosses, which was pretty funny. Then went for dinner with Laura, Anna and Holly. We had Thai which was really nice, I had a red curry, and then had a drink on the terrace of a bar on the way home. It was good craic! Then off to bed for another early morning.
