(12 October continued) After the killing fields we went for lunch at a not for profit restaurant that trains young people to work. It was really nice, a bit pricey by Cambodia standards but was for a good cause! I felt a bit better after lunch and tried to just put the morning behind me. We went to the museum which was pretty cool, had a beautiful garden and a bit of excitement haha, when there was a snake killing a massive gecko...lol. Then we went to the pal...

(12 October) This was not a happy morning, we went on a tour of S21 and the Killing Fields. I didn't really know anything about this before today. Basically in the late 70s a guy called Pol Pot came to power in Cambodia, and decided that the best way to get rid of any opposition was to kill them all, and kill anyone who was educated enough to consider opposing him, and their families and friends. (11 October continued) I was pretty shattered by the time we got into the hotel and definitely wasn't going to be ready to go out for the group dinner in 20 minutes, so I chilled out for a bit then went for some food with claire. We walked about for a bit, running into Sarah from my last tour on the way, and ate at the place she had recommended. It was nice! Afterwards we thought of going to the night Market but it only opens at weekends so we just went to sleep...
