FRANCE - DAY 2 Cold and windy this morning, however we pushed through and headed off on our day of exploring. Our first stop was Sainte Chapelle. The fifteen stained glass windows that adorn this 13th Century chapel were amazing. it's hard to believe that they survived the Second World War intact.

FRANCE - DAY 1 It was just as well we packed several items of warm clothing as we woke to a 1 degree Spring morning. After a hearty breakfast we hit the Metro and headed to central Paris to collect our Paris Pass from the Hard Rock Cafe. Now instead of catching the local transport to The Lourve (our first port of call) we decided it would be fun to walk there. After all it was only several blocks away. Oops! WE'RE OFF AND RACING! At the beginning we were all excited to be off and flying, however by the third plane we were all eager to just get there. The plane was late arriving into Paris and we were greeted with a mild spring evening temperature of 3 degrees. It was a little chilly to say the least. With almost 24 hours of travel time under our belts were couldn't wait to get to the hotel and crash for the night.

THE BIG DEPARTURE The hour is late as the intrepid explorers board the plane for the beginning of their adventures in Europe. Everyone is excited and a little nervous of what awaits them. Captain Australia is calm, relaxed and encouraging everyone with an arousing chant of 'Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!'
