Sunday
Guess what - packed up and on the road by 9am we head towards Wellington for a quick stop at the info centre and a drive around. The town is bigger than we had imagined and will be somewhere we come back to on another trip.
On to Mudgee and although we' decided to 'free' camp at the show ground when we arrived we found that the cost was now comparable with the caravan parks. Not a good way to entice travellers to spend time in Mudgee. We opted for a caravan park because the facilities were better that the showground. It's actually a really nice park about 1.5 kms from the town centre but has a very rural feel to it.
After lunch we went to the Honey Haven and bought some souvenirs as well as cinnamon honey and chilli honey - yum yum yum. Back at camp we find that the park is almost full. Apparently there is a rep girls soccer comp in Mudgee this week - yay. The girls are very well behaved and not too noisy but the coach and the trainer are quite loud and obnoxious.
Into our routine of dinner, a few episodes of Leverage, showers and then bed.
