Gibbon Experience
Spent 3 days and two nights in the Bokeo Nature Reserve, as part of the Gibbon Experience.
Got to Sleep in a 4 tier tree house and zip wire around the jungle for 3 days.
The tree house was awesome. 9 of us were staying in our tree house (number 1). There was a kitchen area, with a sink, ice box, and dinning table for us to hang around. There was two higher floors with beds, and one lower floor with a bathroom and porch into the tree house. The bathroom was open on one side and covered by a curtain on the other side. Basically felt like you went to the toilet and showered in the open jungle. The only way to and from the tree house was to zip line in too!
The zip lines were high (a bit scary to jump of platforms), and the longest was 500m. You attach yourself to the zip lines and are free to use the lines as much as you want.
There is quite a bit of trekking around to get to the zips, but the amazing views, and feeling of flying through the jungle makes it worthwhile.
I actually saw Gibbons in the morning swinging in the trees, and heard them singing to each other - fantastic experience.
Had an amazing time, it's like living out a childhood dream!!
