Krabi - Rai Leh

Krabi Town wasnt anything special-not a lot to do... We got a nice little guest house owned by an american guy for 6 pounds a night which had a tv and hot shower (yes, we have been getting many a cold shower...were on a budget ! and the budget places dont always have warm water!!)

It was a shared bathroom though..but clean - and we managed to find a TV channel with My Wife & Kids on and Cheers !! Oh dear....like i said there wasnt much to do in Krabi town.....umm....anyway

We wanted some white sand and sunshine so we decided to go to a beach called Rai Leh...We got a small boat with an American girl and a guy from Chille who were really chatty. We spent ages looking 4 accomodation because everywhere was so expensive! (10pounds a night or more, would you beleive!!! daylight robbery!!)

And we did more walking than we had done on our Trek in Chang Mai (maybe not quite as much) and i hadnt felt well in the morning, so poor poor Dom had to carry my rucksack for me half of the way! it was far too hot to be carrying ONE let alone both...

But we eventually found a lovely room for err...400baht i think it was per night

And we had an awsome evening meal ! Shark and Baracuda !! Yum Yum! Grandad would have been proud

The only downside to Rai Leh was that the beach itself wasnt brilliant (we are so spoilt!) so we left the next day and got a Express Boat to Ko Lanta....
