Ko Lanta was a bit disappointing !! We was hoping to spend Christmas there but we werent overly impressed - see...spoilt!!

We had , what we thought was a fairly decent hotel....we managed to knock the price down slightly and the room was very big, warm shower, fridge, air con, swimming pool.... but we had a little friend that seemed to live under the bed....a cockroach !! Yuk !! and Dom said (he told me the nxt day when we had left) that the sheets were dirty.... not as nice as it had first appeared

The beach was...well...rocky...and no one was on it....Dom said thats why they had a swimming pool! (we didnt come all the way to Asia to sit by a pool!)

We got a taxi to Long Beach which was much nicer !! But the rooms were fairly expensive ! We decided to leave the following day !

Oh, but we found a gorgeous little bar and had a few beers whilst watching the sun set ! What a view ! it was breathtaking. And the bar was playing chilled music & we were laid out for hours just taking it all in... then we got hungry and I decided i would like to try a Thai Spicy Salad....now, when the Thais actually STATE that the item on the menu is SPICY....you know itsgoing to blow your head off.... i asked the really helpful waitress if they could try to make it a little less spicy than normal...

Wow! I tried, i really did - more so out of politeness to the waitress who came over to check on me 'is it ok?' she looked worried . i nodded and smiled and took another mouthful!! She offered to change it for me but i jst pinched some of doms rice hehe serves me right for being cocky !

then we bought some Chang Beers and took them back to our luxurious room to see out cockroach friend...
