Today was a good day

We woke up at 6am!!! Eeek and just couldnt get back to sleep, we tried to stay in bed for as long as poss and eventually got up at about 7.30.

Hungry(as always) we went to a near by cafe which was full of Chinese people, all staring at us as we walked in. We orderd our brekkie and paid about 4 pounds for a meal each and drinks. Bargain!

We got the Metro to Hong Kong Island and walked around looking for the Zoological and Botanical Gardens! EVENTUALLY.... we got there and it was well worth the hike! (Up hill hike, may i add) There was a free zoo which was full of all kinds of animals (see pics!!) we then relaxed in the gardens for a while, soaking up the sunshine ! By the way the weather is amazing, its about 28+degrees and hot and sticky and we love it. We bought a hot dog off some small Chinese man with a large tuft of hair growing out of one side of his face! He was very friendly though so we just tried not to look at it too much as he MICROWAVED us our hotdogs (hotdog buns and all!) it was ok though and kept us going as we headed over to Victoria Peak...

We got the tram up to the peak which was very steep and felt like we were going to fall backwards at any moment... (see video hehe) but we never and we made it to the top in one piece! (got chatting to an Australian couple on the way up who were advising us about Oz!)

At the top we got about 5 escalators up and ended up on the roof ! Wow !!! What a view..... The pics dont do it justice...

On the was down Dominic decided to have a game on Burnout on the xbox (it was an EA games shop and you could test them out before you bought) then we gave each other a boxing match , and I was winnning so Dom decided it was time to leave....hmm!!!) lol

On the night we headed across to the market for some supper! We had chinese food with chopsticks in the street. We sat opposite each other on large benches surrounded by locals! A bottle of beer, two rice and beef chilli and sweet & sour chicken later we were STUFFED and decided to go for a walk to find our bearings in our new neighbourhood! Another day over already :-( x
