Cyanide and Hiv.........Well its Saturday in Ahafo very slow today messing around with my presentation for monday,I have to teach a 3 day course on HVAC

I attended a camp induction meeting this week,I must admit I have been to quite a few that were far worse.I was the only expat so of course the instructor focused on the Ghanians and did quite well.Gold mining uses cyanide to extract the gold from the ore,so that was mentioned quite a bit and also HIV prevention was stressed this being Africa after all.I think one line went "your protection equipment protects against cyanide like a condom against HIV".Good idea here I think.

One thing I did not know about Ghanians till I got here is that almost none smoke and avoid being around you if you are.A nation of non smokers without spending millions to get people to quit,should send Canadas health minister over here to see how they did it.

Well that was a short note, off to another camp next week
