Tripping with Don and Jill
We have been here at NASJAX for 1 week. Now that all of the repairs have been completed on the 5th wheel we are starting to explore the Navy base. There is a Navy Seabees squadron here, I've attached a few pictures.
Most of the base is right on the St. John's river. It's quite scenic! The St. John's is one of the few rivers in the world that runs south to north.
Rain is predicted for this weekend, a lot of the campers are here for the Daytona 500 which is only about 1 1/2 hr drive south on I95. I hope they don't get rained out!
More exploring to do next week, if the weather improves we are going to head out towards the beach.

pat fraser Glad you are finally getting to enjoy exploring.
djnance Yeah, finally a relaxing day
Debbie I've been thinking about you, and wondering if you had the snow flurries which were predicted in Jax last weekend? That pretty area I had mentioned to you is called Ponte Vedra Beach. It should be nice weather ahead.
Djnance Hi Debbie, it's supposed to be rainy here all weekend not clearing until Wed. We are planning to head out towards the beach and will definitely check out Ponte Verdra
