Long time since anything have happened now...
From El Salvador I crossed the border to Nicaragua and jumped off the bus in Leon. I went to Casa Iguana and spoke to Roger and Sonia. I didn't do alot the tow days I stayed there...just relaxed. Went to the cinema and watched Cars in spanish...didn't understand everything but I couldn't stop laughing when they went out in the night to scare the tractors! I loved that scene!!!!
From Leon I went to San Jose. When I bought my ticket I met a man who apparently thought he was gods gift to women. He went on and on...Usually I'm patient with the latino men but not when they start at 7am! We were supposed to sit besides eachother on the bus but he found another seat...I guess he didn't like to hear opinions that early either...
Stayed one night in San Jose and on Tuesday I went to Turrialba. I walked all day looking for travel agencies who did canopy and rafting! I finally came to a hotel where the woman helped me. I finally found one office (and of course all the other onces where close by!)
On Wednesday I went rafting in Rio Pacuare. Apparently one of the top 10 rivers for rafting and kayaking...Had an awsome day with loads of water everywhere. The whole left side of the boat went into the river and I got dragged under by the current...kind of scary but loads of fun as well. I was laughing so much and the guide (who also fell off the boat) thought I was crying when he grabbed me in the river....The guy who were kayaking were amazing...Looked so scary! Had a fantastic day and the scenery around Pacuare was stunning...definately one if the best ways to travel through the jungle!
On Thursday I went canyoning...Rappelling down three waterfalls which were a bit scary, 2 ziplines which were awsome, down one tree and over a hanging bridge! I prefer the rafting-way of seeing the jungle even though I enjoyed the day...the thing that scared my the most was when I had to jump of the platform in that tree! It goes against everything that makes sence to jump of a tree and having a tiny tico to decending me down! All day in the rainy rainforest!!!! It was freezing but at the end we got hot chocolate!!!
Heading towards the carribean again tomorrow...
