and have a day off, well sort of!
A grey day with rain forecast and storm warning for tonight. After several 1 euro coffees and posting a short trip video to FB (as that was the only one that would allow me to post...). I dragged my feet back to the tent around noon. Packed slowly and was feeling lethargic with low mojo. On way to shower I met an Italian preparing some wild mushrooms or Fere as they are called locally. He told me these wild mushrooms are found below pine trees only in this area apparently easy to find! Not great smell but apparently a good flavour. Prep includes scraping the root then polishing with a tissue. Freeze or cook ... or dry sliced or can find porcine.
Had short message conversation with Liz who is running Perth city to surf half marathon tomorrow so wished her good luck.
Well a challenging hike through the Forrest almost 4 hours later collected a range of mushrooms
