I struggled a little bit to find the perfect combination of words to define Hotel D'Annunzio where we stayed for a week (12-19 Sep 2014) for our Venice holiday. And suddenly it just popped in my mind. Feel Good! Yes, that's it. Feel Good. A really feel good hotel. And the main character in the successful hotel's recipe is of course Maurizio (see blog picture), our host and probably your host after reading this blog. He takes his time from his busy daily schedule to talk to absolutely everyone in the hotel. He's everywhere, at the right time and if he's missing for a couple of minutes then one of the girls from his friendly staff will take care of you until he returns. All the staff are here like family and you feel at home in a way. The nice smiling lady at the bar - Brenda? - (shame on me that I did not took her name but you will know who she is), Cristina, Mihaela, Cati, the cook, the guy who's giving you a bicycle if you want to ride, and least but not last Monica, who is keeping a professional eye on everything in the background. They are all a wonderful team, trying hard to make your stay at the hotel an unforgettable one. You should not expect here the facilities from a big western chain type of a branded hotel. But...you will have all the confty, facilities that you will need (lift, swiming pool, bar, big room and balconies, TV in the bar plus in the room, etc.) plus stylish decorations, plus good background music, plus staff looking after you every second and trying to make your wishes coming true. Magic!
