Day 4 - Murano and Burano. A very lovely and busy day, started with a beach session because the sun was shining then we've been off to Murano and Burano. Bus journey like usual (40 mins) from Jesolo to Punta Sabbioni, missed by seconds the direct boat to Burano but opted for day trip tickets this time (20 eur) so we took the next departing boat to Venice instead. Journey like usual, very nice views, a short stop to Lido, then Venice again where we find a connection boat from another close station departing to Murano in 15 mins on another line (no 7). Boat was smaller than what we got used until now, without toilet on it too which proved to be absolutely essential in our case with a 3 year old ;) - parenting joys. Journey was longer than we imagined, even if the captain Gonzales was driving very speedy.
Murano Faro. (That is the second stop out of the 3 Murano stops. First bar, toilet with baby changing. Quite hard to find over here but we've been lucky this time. Ok. Soooo... If Venice is the golden crown, Murano and Burano are the big shiny coloured jewels on the Crown. It's a must see and you should reserve at least half a day for it. Don't go there later than 5-6pm because you will loose all the beauty of the little sparkling shiny cristal shops all over the island (Murano). Worth going in a church to see masterpieces of famous painters on the walls. If you want to have dinner or lunch go to Burano because it has a much better choice of populated restaurants, pizzerias and gelaterias than Murano. And most important, dont forget to take your camera with you!
