Four Corners/Monument Valley/Navajo Monument
Rather than head straight west, we decided to take the scenic route lol. We drove all the way north through New Mexico until we got to the Four Corners Monument, otherwise known as the exact spot where Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Arizona meet. A little overrated but definitely cool, Utah had better cellphone service than Colorado!
From there we went over to Monument Valley, UT. Just driving in was cool enough for us, the mountain views were absolutely incredible. And we timed it perfectly with the passing storm, because we caught rainbows in most of our photos :)
Rather than pay an arm and a leg to enter and camp in the valley, we decided to keep driving west to Navajo National Monument. They had free campgrounds, trails galore and breathtaking views of the sunset over the valley. We spent the night watching entourage in the tent...electricity in the wild is so cool.
In the morning we head out for Zion...finally!
