Well our stay in London has finally come to an end :( it's now time to venture into the countryside!! After picking up our car from hertz and using all my energy not to punch the rude hertz man we were off and racing!! All I can say is thank god for the gps!!! After making our way out of London we were out on the open road - what scenery I did enjoy was rudely interrupted by the torrential downpour. Our intentions were to stop at Cambridge and have a look around - after stopping at one of the park'n'rides and getting out of the car our minds were quickly changed to just keep driving and so we did.
Quaint little towns we passed through with fields of lush green fields on either side. Trying to comprehend that the age of some of these houses were 100s of years old was mindblowing!!!
Finally we reached wisbech and to our home for the next couple of days - the white lion. I really could not recommend the hotel more than enough - the staff and accommodation are just wonderful and it also comes complete with its own ghost that can be seen on camera 7 on the CCTV. Tonight whilst having a few beverages we met Darren who helped with around 85% of the restoration of the white lion and also Babs who has a son who lives in cockatoo in Melbourne. She was originally from Essex both of them extremely fun for a chat and young nicola our barmaid - quite up on world events and also has an opinion on mostly everything but was also a good listener!!!
Our chef has a phd in planetary science - go figure!!! And there is quite a large Population of polish people, locals are not exactly sure what they do or what brought them to wisbech

For such a small town there is many many pubs and there is a building in the main street that was originally built in 1047 - mind blowing!!! There are dungeons and passageways that run underneath the town and a dark alleyway that is commonly called ghost's passage.

Well, it's 9pm and it feels like 4:30pm, this light does not help someone who struggles with sleep at the best of times ;(
