Diane's Most Excellent Adventures
Since the ship can't go any further up the river we stopped at Vega de Terron and had to board a bus to go to Salamanca.
I noticed on this trip and most of the others that the power poles are made of concrete. There are a few wooden ones but not many. They are also a lot shorter than at home.
We've seen almond trees, wheat fields that have been harvested, black pigs which are responsible for the Iberian ham, and cattle. This area is also known for raising bulls that are used for bullfighting. They take great pride in this even though there are not as many bullfights any more.
