Day 2 in Reykjavik went as planned! The boys actually arrived in Reykjavik - Yay! When we picked them up at the airport in the morning they came through customs with cousin Laura. Nice to see her arrive, and look forward to catching up with the Skulason girls on Friday night in Sauðárkrókur.
Went to the famous Sun Voyager sculpture, and Harpa concert hall. Drove around a bit....continually getting lost. Did the hotel switch to Rey Apartments where we are staying the next few days. Very nice 3rd floor walkup...our quads will be enormous after doing these stairs! Went grocery shopping - had to stock up on Skyr, Rulapilsa and hardfish. Mmmmmm - all our favorite Icelandic eats. Made the boys some bacon and puffin eggs.
Just realized that Myles only packed 1 tshirt, 2 long sleeved shirts and a hoodie. Not sure what he was thinking....I restrained myself from packing his bag for this trip. Oh well...he bought a new t-shirt, and I guess he will be doing a bit more clothes shopping for him.
Boys are bagged...they went to sleep, and Myles and I went to Dísa's to meet with the rest of her family, Paul, Sigrun and her children. Enjoyed their company again and will try see them one more time before we leave.
