ze BIG Journey
Well today... Sunday... a really hot day, mostly around 37deg.
Today we were on the road between Port Fairy and a little town called Apollo Bay - just passed the Twelve Apostles. The apostles are a formation of limestone rocks close to Port Campbell on the south coast - though as the name might have implied, there aren't actually twelve of them as some have since given way to erosion, the last such collapse I believe on the night of 2 / 3 July 2005.
So with the heat it felt like a long drive, but thankfully we made it, to an air-conditionned motel room.
Apollo Bay sits right on the edge of the coast, and its high street is actually the Great Ocean Road so no mistaking there.
