We experienced our first tropical storm last night. All have names following letters of the alphabet and so far they are up to 'D' for Dora. The thunder came first then the rain, and did it rain, torrents fell for hours streaming off the flat roofs in waterfalls onto the cars parked below. The thunder and lightning increased until it was overhead, sheet lightning constantly flashing across the sky. When the forked lightning struck the noise was truly deafening. It was awesome! We just stood out on the balcony dripping wet enjoying the spectacle.
In the early hours of the morning it moved away, however it grew in size and is now classed as Hurricane Dora! The storm formed out to sea and became the first Hurricane of the Eastern Pacific Season off Mexico's Coast. They say it will soon reach its peak and start to degrade out to sea. We are pleased to have seen at least one storm before we leave at the weekend. Hopefully it won't do a u-turn as it was impressive enough as a tropical storm!

It is amazing how quickly the 4 weeks have gone, tomorrow is our last day. Tonight we were taken out for burritos at a local street restaurant and they were very scrummy! We finished the evening off with a good tequila at a local bar then a walk around the marina at sunset. I think Mexico has been one of our favourite destinations and definitely a place we will return to one day.
Tomorrow we are off to Puerto Vallarta for the day before heading to our hotel for the night near the airport. Then the next day we fly to Vancouver, Canada and the sunshine coast, our 23rd workaway and also our final workaway before we fly back to England.
