Huanacaxtle, the name of the town, comes from the tree that grows here, 'Enterolobium cyclocarpum'or commonly known as guanacaste, caro caro or elephants ear. We had an evening flight from Peru to Mexico City. We left Lima at 5.15 and six and a bit hours later arrived in Mexico. On the way over we were flying into the sunset which was a glorious shade of deep red and orange.
