Railay Beach is amazing. Way way way smaller than Koh Phi Phi. With the most amazing beaches I have ever seen. There are no hostels here, they are all resorts. It's a super romantic place, so the resorts are picture perfect. Me and Maddy stayed in a stunning place, and splurged for the $35/night price tag. There was a magnificent pool, and right on the beach. We basically just relaxed and ate. Which was the first time we did that in awhile. There are also tons of monkeys!! Macaque monkeys, which are mean little scavengers and then the cutest little monkeys called Langur monkeys. It was outrageous. One afternoon Maddy and I attempted to go see a lagoon so we went for a bit of an adventure and found this path with these unreal caves. We kept going, imagining it would hook up to the opposite side of the island onto the main beach, as all the paths that way tend to do, but it brought us to this new beach that was spectacular. Movie worthy! The waves were so big, we instantly decided to play in them. We got covered in sand, and I basically still am. Railay was a really beautiful spot, and I would love to go back! It's not much of a back packers detonation as there are no bars, instead just great restaurants but it was an awesome break from everything!
