So I made a blog post all about Chiang Mai and it was great. But then of course it deleted. So Chiang Mai is a beautiful city in Northern Thailand. We had a jammed pack couple of days here. To start we went to the main temple were they were luckily celebrating a Buddhist celebration specific to the city of Chiang Mai. It was this festival where they give offerings to Buda. But amazing wonderful offerings. There were so many flowers and candles and water and gold it was amazing. After that we did an amazing Thai cooking class. We met this amazing guy who took us to the market and talked to us about fresh ingredient and Thai food. We went to his stunning farm where we cooked 5 different dishes. After that day we did a jungle trek. This is one of those explain in person kind of experiences. It was filled with amazing ex pats, alcoholic tour guides with big hearts, jungle hikes, elephant rides, white water rafting, drives with villagers, and sleeping outside under the stars after a bonfire in the jungle. It was incredible. After this we started hanging out with 2 Americans that were super fun. We stayed together and we went to Zoeys one night too. After this we ended our time in Chiang Mai and made a journey to Laos, which has been equally as amazing!
