Adventures of a Global Wanderer
Final stop today on my last day was to the Observatoire de la Capitale. This is the top floor of an office building downtown so isn't much to look at from the outside.
Entrance was $12 but I got 20% off discount from my admission to the Musee de la Civilisation.
You take an elevator to the 31st floor which is the top, the lower floors are all offices so it could make a stop for people travelling between floors.
Despite the bland exterior it was a nice view when you reach the top. The view is 360 degrees except for the building corners due to the architectural design.
I had nice spans of the old town and the carnival grounds. Being about 430pm I was waiting for the lights to all come on in the town and carnival grounds.
Unfortunately the observatory closes at 5pm so you cant stay to watch the evening lights. I was able to stay till about 5.10 before they cleared everyone out.
It was a nice way to round off the trip before I returned home tomorrow.
