Deb's Travels...
Captains Log. Star Date 10.10.05
Hello, we are in Dunedin (say it duneeeed-n, not dunidin as Stu persits on doing!)
We arrived here yesterday from Queenstown, we had a really good time in Queenstown, its a great place, full of stuff to do and definatley worth a visit to anyone coming to New Zealand....
We arrived on a Sunday and there wasnt much to do in our hostel so we went for a quick wander of the town and then found a nice pub with a fire inside, so stoped in for one. 7 pints later (for Stu!) we ventured out from the warm pub back to the hostel, where Stu experienced his worst hang over in a while (he was drinking wife beater in disguise!) described as having an axe in his head all night!
Anyhoo, with a hefty hangover in tow the brewery tour was strictly off the list of 'things to do' today so instead we went to Cadburys and had a tour of the factory (not as colourful as Willy Wonka's place, no umpa lumpas either...) which was cool. It smelt so good in there! And we left with ample supplies, which we aquired on the way around. Mmmmmmmmh chocolate!
Afterwards we wandered into the Otago settlers museum, which had some old fire engine stuff inside and a penny farthing, and some dress up stuff too... it killed an hour or so, and was indoors which is always a positive to any activity down here!
Its still absolutly freezing, but we havent encountered much rain so far, so cant complain!
Here for another day then off to Tekapo...
Over and out xxx
