Captains Log. Star Date 23.10.05 Yesterday afternoon we discovered Zorbing! It was so much fun! Basically you get an inflatable hamster wheel, big enough for one to three humans to fit inside, and fill it with some water... then roll down a big hill inside it! We had to dive into the inner ball, which of course Stuart had no problems doing, I on the other hand, got half way and lost momentum so Stu had to drag me in the rest of the way! lol! Stuart did stcak it as soon as he tried to stand up though : ) It was like being in a water slide, it was almost impossible to stand up inside it, especially with two of you in there! Stuart used my head as a push up and stood up a couple of times but fell over again pretty soon afterwards, I was generally in a heap at one edge, no chance of standing up whatsoever, thinking I might end up with a black eye or something from Stuart leaping around in there! We got out and were absolutely drenched, it was so fun! : ) Its our last day in Rotorua today, the place is ok, but it smells like fart here. Thats due to all the thermal activity. In one of the photo's you'll see a hot pool, they have these natural hot pools all over the place, you can just see steam coming from them, and geysers, which are like little volcanic eruptions of steam. This happens when water touches the materials under the crust of the earth where its warmer and turns it to steam! So there, I have learnt something new in Rotorua! : ) Over and out xxx
