Wave to Bwian!!!! Here he is on "The Idun" - waving to you, next to the orange life saver!!! We've just boarded after a luxury night at the Budapest Marriott. We had an easy morning yesterday, with a bit of shopping and then went back to our hotel for a while and got a taxi to the airport. Our flight from Rome via Ryanair was totally uneventful!! No dramas with checkin, luggage or our priority boarding. In fact, Stickman was the first passenger on the plane!! Now that's never happened before - that's service!!!! We landed about midnight and got into our hotel about 1:30am and had a beautiful room overlooking The Danube. After our hot showers and nice cups of tea (getting ready for our old people cruise) we sunk into our multilayered mattress topper and slept Ike babies until the alarm went off!!! A short taxi ride brought us here to The Idun, docked by The Chain Bridge and the smoothest checkin ever - took about 1 minute - sooooo tedious!!!!! Found some departing Australians as we came into the lounge. They gave us some good advice and couldn't say enough about what a great time they'd had!!! People are drifting in now and snippets of conversations are interesting! There's a tribe of Kiwis here, at last count 12 traveling together, and it reminds me of our "Dirty Dozen" cruising off together!!! (Bwian already has a proposal for our return!!!!!) Our cabins will be ready for us in about 1 1/2 hours. Looking forward to unpacking for 2 weeks - wow!! We are exactly 1/2 way into our BaD Grand Tour and loving every minute, although missing all of our special people back home!!!
We have wifi here on the ship, so have ready access to emails or blog messages, should you feel the urge. It's been great getting messages along the way. Thanks to those who are keeping in touch. So far, Narn gets 5* for being the most diligent correspondent!!!
