Had a fantastic day with lots happening!! We walked down to Union Square this morning to catch the hop on hop off bus and did a bit of a circuit. We hopped off at Haight Ashbury to go and see the 'Painted Ladies' ( the iconic Victorian houses featured in lots of TV shows and movies). From there we travelled on to Chinatown and wandered through the shops. Found a noice restaurant for lunch and then resumed our shopping expedition!! After that we walked back towar...

We're here!!! San Francisco. Bit cooler here - some jackets required!! Off to Alcatraz and hop on hop off today. Bwian keeps making disparaging remarks about our neighborhood. Can't work out why!! Here's the scenic view from our hotel room! Quaint??!!! Xx

Oooooohhhhhh ...... It's freezing here!!! Went off this morning to ride the hop on hop off for the morning, but only lasted about an hour!! Hopped off!!!! and walked back to the hotel to get changed and add more layers to us and the back pack for later. Aaahhh!!! We then resumed our expedition and travelled as far as the Alcatraz Landing at the pier not far from Fishermans Wharf. Found a lovely restaurant and had a great lunch with some really good Californian P...
