Picked up our car this morning to make our way down the freeway and parts of Highway 1. Sadly, it was a 'similar'. - you know .... Mustang convertible or similar! Well we got the 'similar'!!! Actually it's a Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible which is very noice, and it's red, but it didn't actually fit the brief!! Never mind, all good. Had a quick drive down to Monterey from the SF airport where we picked up the car. The hotel we booked into here is lovely and amid the seaside township, with a number of nautical museums, a boardwalk, Fisherman's Wharf , shops, restaurants etc. There's an Italian festival happening in the square with a fantastic band and loads of people dancing and having a whale of a time. We wandered over to the Fishermans Wharf and had seafood for dinner and watched the seals frolicking, boats bobbing and sun setting as we cheersed with our Margaritas!!! Another hohum moment!!!! This is a beautiful town with so much character. Looking forward to our drive down Highway 1 tomorrow to Ventura. Hope we have wifi at our hotel - not sure!! Love to all at home. Xxx
