Hi Everyone!

Well here I am at the start of week two all recovered from the trauma that was immigration. The last week has been a strange one. First there was the daze of the aftermath of the interrogation ordeal, then Tropical Storm Fay hit Florida.

We were fairly lucky here...just gales and HEAVY rain for 2 days. The next couple of days had thunder storms here and there so I didn't get to the pool much really. On one occasion when I did venture down there, a storm came over so fast I was absolutely drenched by the time I'd got back to the block.

However, the sun has returned and now I'm at the pool as often as possible. At the week-end we also went to the beach, which was beautiful. Yesterday the temperature was around 95, but the weather forecaster said 'feels like 105' so you can imagine how hot it is just now.

We booked a trip to New York! Going up on the 4th Sep. Just realised, that's next week!! We're staying at a hotel just off Broadway and only a block from Time Square. So as neither of us have been there before, I now need to plan a schedule of what to see, how we're going to get there and when...should be fun :) We bought a video camera for the trip so I'll leave some clips on here when we have them.

Next week-end is Labor Day here. A bank holiday week-end. So we're going to take a day at the Miccosukee Indian Village. There's lots of crafts and activities to see and they also have airboats so I might be going on one of those through the Everglades again :)

Tried to book tickets for the next shuttle launch, but it's at 1.30am mid week, so it would mean Tony using too many days off when we need them for Christmas time. So we're going to give it a miss this time.
