Well we have survived the long series of flights to Europe. 6 hours to Singapore, 11 hours to Frankfurt then another 2 hours to Stockholm with another 10 hours sitting around in airports waiting for connecting flights. Feeling exhausted right about now. However, we managed to find our hostel in Gamla Stan, which is the Old Town in Stockholm with delightful, narrow cobbled streets and historic buildings. Visited a very beautiful 15th century church just near the hostel that rings bells every hour! Found our way around a Swedish supermarket and will now be having yoghurt instead of milk on our breakfast cereal! By the way, I have to mention that it is FREEZING here. I think I might need to do some urgent artic clothes shopping or I may be coming home as an ice cube!
