We left Bangkok yesterday afternoon and we are now in the town of Kanchanaburi on the River Kwai. The countryside and views around here are amazing. Yesterday evening we had a trip down the river on a floating raft which was a restaurant and had a meal on board. Then our guide Mikey took us into the town to show us around and to have a few drinks. Today we have been to the Erawan National Park and trekked up a mountain to the waterfall. We made it right to the top and had a swin in the water where the little fish eat your dead skin..did not feel nice!!! However, I fell and knocked my head and cheek on a rock and so had to leave early (had to be me!!!). I'm ok, but a little sore.

The hotel where we are staying is lovely, right next to the river and on stilts!!! The Thai people are lovely and very friendly..we love it here so beautiful. Tomorrow we are learning how to cook Thai and having a relaxing afternoon by the pool before dinner, I think we need it!!! So very tiring!!!!
