Our week in Syndey has been very good and has been a non-stop packed week of activities.
The first day in the city was to get to know the group that we would be spending the week with and we had lunch at the Sydney Centrepoint Tower. The Sydney Tower Restaurant is the highest revolving restaurant in the southern hemisphere, situated over one thousand feet above the city centre. The platform is suppose to rotate slowly over 90 mins so you get to see the whole of the city but unfortunately due to renovations it was not turning, but we still had some great views. After lunch a few of us went into the city to see the sights of the Opera House and the bridge. The sun was shining, there was blue sky and the harbour just looked amazing! Got lots of pics before heading back to the hostel to get ready for a night out and a free meal at a backpackers bar!
The rest of the week included a trip to Bondi beach, one of the most famous beaches in the world, a surf lesson, a trip to the wine growing region of Hunter Valley with a pub crawl afterwards, a harbour cruise and a trip to Tarronga Zoo, with amazing views over the city.
A great city, just a shame we didn't get to see more of it!!!!
