After Bangkok off to Phuket to relax for 9 days nice hotel near beach hired scooter first day went to Patong -- not impressed very busy and we thought ' tacky ' got stopped by police for not wearing helmets policeman lovely and friendly !! Told us to go to station and pay £6 then stopped traffic with smile so I could cross busy road shouting have a nice day ! Didn't stay long ! Off to a lovely beach but bit busy.
Went inland to see Big Buddha bit disappointing as it was covered in scaffold but did see lots elephants and of course a dog that needed the biscuits we had !
Had 9 lovely chilling / relaxing days the beaches beautiful clear sea sandy beach. Found a lovely quiet beach but as got there the heavens opened we sat in the restaurant -- open to the beach -- and had lunch. Rain was clearing by this time but I had time enough to have nails done there there was a section with beds etc and some Thai ladies doing nails / massage etc. sadly I think James could have done them better but as it only cost couple pounds didn't matter People very friendly. Lovely time but ready to move on
