Our time here at Hof Wegwarte and Germany in general is finally coming to a close. It has been just over two months since we landed in Frankfurt and Ryan and I are ready to move on to our next adventure spot...SCOTLAND.

Over the past few days Ryan and I have become good friends with Francis, the other WWOOF'er. He left this morning to go to Berlin for the weekend so the three of us went out for a farewell dinner last night. On Martin's recommendation, we went to eat at a local brewery. It was awesome having a nice big hot meal (and a meaty meal for the boys) after another day of hard work. Ryan, Sabrina and I made another 1000L of apple juice and Francis was busy helping Martin with another stone pathway. Earlier in the week we were joined at Hof Wegwarte in by Sabrina and this was her last day before heading home to Berlin as well. On our way out of the Waldhaus brewery resturant, Ryan bought a variety pack of the Waldhaus beer so that when we returned home, we had a beer tasting night. The four of us sat around the table, shared some good laughs, and tried all of the Waldhaus beers. There was:

Since being in Germany I have solidified the fact that I am a dark beer loving girl but there were some interesting flavours in this pack. Tomorrow Ryan and I are taking the day to explore some of the surrounding areas and towns as we are leaving on Sunday to go to Switzerland. Ryan and I are really looking forward to being back in the company of family. I for one can't wait to see Ryan's face when we arrive in Scotland. He has talked about going there as long as I have known him and it is awesome that the time has finally come.
