Ryan and I have been laying low in Grotzingen the past few days just taking advantage of the fact that we can. We have been sleeping in late and then walking to the local stores to get fresh bread, veg, and beer...life is good. Last night it was Sara's birthday and we found ourselves at the Adler once again. After a delicious (and huge) dinner, we enjoyed the dessert Ryan and I made using fresh apples from Phyllis and Gerhard's backyard. There has been nothing but sunshine for the past few days which made enjoying the scenery even better.
Tonight we would have made Dennis, our Hamburg CS host proud as Ryan recreated the fish sandwiches akin to those at the fishmarkt. I can still barely stand the smell of it but Ryan downed 3 of them. After dinner we spent the night with Crystal and Andy who invited us for drinks. Andy was ready with two large glasses and yet another new dark beer for Ryan to try. It is amazing that even when people speak to different languages, they can still have an amazing conversation. Crystal had a large map our and we figured out just where the farm is we will be working on in October...I didn't realize until tonight that we will be right on the border with Switzerland. When then got the chance to show them pictures of our family and where we live in Canada. We zoomed right in using GoogleMaps on 63 Conroy (condo in Guelph), the Bluewater Bridges, and 214 Front Street (mom & dads). I also got the chance to show off Rosie whom I am missing more than anything in Canada (sorry family and friends but I love my dog).
Fun Fact: If you GoogleMap 707 Michigan Ave (where I grew up) and zoom in to the street view, you can actually see the McGugan's sitting on their porch! Jim is in his usually spot along with Brett and Colton. Here is the link:

I wish I had more exciting new to say but things have been pretty chillax. Tomorrow we have an event to go to with Phyllis, and in the next week we are planning another tour day in Stuttgart, a day trip to Castle Neuswanstein in Fussen, and will be attending the Stuttgart Beer Festival with Sara and Alex.
P.S. The title of the blog post comes from Phyllis...I thought it was good. The picture accompanying this post is by an artist from Fife, Scotland who has become my new fav. The picture is called "Game On" and is one of his more erotic prints. Check out his work at http://www.jackvettriano.com/
