Arrived at Melbourne and took the car back after finding reasonable clean accomodation. The Australian Open was due to start the following week so we were lucky to get as good as we got. Settled back into city life for a week doing the sightseeing stuff but had really enjoyed the journey down so much we realised how much we enjoyed the quieter side of life. Nevertheless we were please we did the whole Melbourne bit but it did come lower down on the things we loved about Aus. Next step was getting to Adelaide- the final stage of our Australian adventure. Booked the Overland train for a 10 hour journey ( in compete comfort) to Adelaide. Arrived in the evening and got city accomodation that was a bit pricey but OK. The city was lovely - small town feel. Had a tour around and saw some sights and then decided to move on down South to Port Noarlunga in the hope of finding more reasonable beds! We arrived at the most wonderful place and again we renewed our love affair with Australia. Everything about this area is absolute perfection. Not many flies which was just great, hot weather but with a good breeze that made it acceptable and the most outstanding views. Found a great motel and proceded to relax and enjoy the area.
