Went from Albury to Wangratta as this is were Amelia lives (remember we met her in Thailand and she invited us to stay) well we remembered even if she didn't! Unfortunately she was still with her family for the Xmas holidays so we missed out again but it didn't really matter as is was a very pretty town and we found a great motel to stay in that was so cheap and decorated so badly you just had to stay there. The couple who ran in were wonderfully weird. They hadn't slept together for 25 years! No idea why they felt the need to tell me that but I think they worked out I thought they were just delightful. Denise is getting into the people thing and starting to love oddballs as well! This was definately a place we would have been happy to stay longer but as we had the car we wanted to travel as much as possible and fortunatly The great alpine road started just 2kms away so it was up in the morning and off we went.

It took all day to travel through the most outstanding scenery, towns and mountains which ended at Port Arthur. The whole day was something neither of us would have missed and I felt quite spiritual at the end of the day - the journey had quite an effect on me and as I have so much respect for Nature I felt completely awed by everything I had seen. I'm sure I will never forget today.
