Reeth to Richmond
10.5 miles
Depart 0950
Arrive 1530
As you can probably tell from the lack of photos the stage was a bit of an uninteresting one. I can only liken it to an after pub lunch type walk that goes on for 5.5 hours. Just flat through fields, lots of stiles. Weather like the walk was indifferent.
Arriving in richmond though at 330 meant we had 2 hours to kill till the b&b opened and what better place to wait than a cake shop where I had almost the best lemon cake ever. We also met done of the other walkers on there so time passed very quickly sampling different cake and exchanging stories about who had gone deepest into the bogs.
It was a day of excess food as for the evening meal we decided to go out for curry. Not going to be a walkers best friend in the morning but too good to resist. We also needed all the fuel we were going to get with longest DDT of the walk ahead of us tomorrow.
It will be another featureless day like today, just longer in a last big push to cover the bland landscape in between the two national parks.
