2.5 hour walking tour of the city, the Medeci family, Duomo, Michelangelo, Ponte Vechio. Also lots of qawking of the high fashion shops, Salvatore Ferragamo world HQ in Florence.

Quick scout of route to train station cos going to Venice tomorrow on early train.

Lunch in Piazza Santa Maria novella, outside the hotel.

Back to Florencetown tours for wine enthusiasts dinner. Driven up to the hills of Tuscany. Crash course in wine appreciation followed by dinner paired with wines. Travelled with couple from Chicago, Louisa and Filipe, Puerto Rican and a Mexican. Great night and good company .
