Breakfast at hotel with Garry and Lai-Ling Last day on London. Went to Notting Hill to see the bookshop in the film Notting Hill. Still no Hugh Grant or Julia Roberts. Walked thru Portobello market. Then to Kensington palace and princess Diana's Gardens. Walked thru Hyde Park. On to regent Street and picadilly square. Rich Arabs racing thru the streets in their Ferraris and Lamborghini. Harrods shopping day. Could only look & wish we had enough money. Bought fake snow and toys. Tea and chocolates. Met Lai-Ling there at 3 and bought fine foods for charcuterie board and pastry. Dinner in Lai-Ling flat

Bought a 1 day hop on hop off ticket. Kept us busy from 10am to 6pm. Started outside hotel to marble arch. Change tour route there. Stopped at Buckingham Palace, Westminster abbey (even attended church service but couldn't sightsee inside), walked to Downing St, Trafalgar Square, nondescript high tea, back on bus to cross the London bridges, Tower of London, the Shard, along the Thames. Back to Marble Arch, meet Lai-Ling and have dinner in Korean restaurant wi...

Breakfast at Hilton . Raining so shopping instead of sightseeing. Bus to Oxford St for shopping. New pair of boots for Mariska. Spend a few hours in Selfridges, got new pen from Mont Blanc. Went to Nike in Oxford St, world largest store. Quick bite of Japanese curry, caught bus to shepherds bush outside Westfield shopping centre. Stopped at the supermarket to get wine, cheese, crackers, strawberries. Back at hotel and set up dinner in the room. Watch vuelta.
