Dave & Sue's Road Trip
We left Albuquerque today and as it was a fairly short journey we decided to come off the interstate and take the scenic route and boy was it worth it.We travelled on a little bit of old route 66 again. Then we went to a place called La Malpais Monument. It was truly amazing. It is sandstone rocks which have a black lava flow below them which is 3 million years old.The only problem was the lookout was up a very very rough track.we had to proceed with caution as we didnt want to phone our friends at National Hire rental again. We are now staying in Gallup. a little town which is actually on Route 66.Its very old and there is lots of pictures on the walls of the film stars who stayed here.I dont think they will be wanting ours though.

Linda Wow! An amazing photo. I think a photo of you and Susie donning the wall would be a real "crowd puller", especially in the turqoise hat!! Well done for negotiating the windy road, you don't want a "hotline" to National Hire rental!! Lol. Where to next? xxx
Erin & Martin greetings from rainy Zurich! Pictures are awesome, man, you must have seen a lot of fanny packs by now! Happy and safe travels from Me, Martin, and gareth (who is back to work tomorrow)!
