Our lessons have begun, we had our third today! Hopefully by next week we may be able to understand some of the locals! We are being taught by Lorgio - I bet you can't pronounce his name correctly! The lessons are being held in the home of the Spanish School co-ordinator where we will be having Salsa lessons and cookery lessons on Friday. We are enjoying the volunteer programme too. In the afternoons we are helping at a centre for old people. However, the first day we were not able to find the centre. The next day we were taken by bus and returned on our own successfully. Today we caught the bus , but it did not go the same way, so we ended up walking about 1.5 miles!!! Fortunately they gave us a lift back to our hotel this evening. I wonder where we'll end up tomorrow? We have been helping with the food and cleaning up after their meal. The people are very friendly and grateful for our efforts, even though the conversation is non-existent at the moment! Brad and Jackie are helping with a children's project which is keeping them very busy. It'll be our turn with the kids next week.
