Hello to you all. So we hit the Chobe National Park after the Delta and stayed in a lovely camp on the border between Zambia and Botswana (right nest to a hippo river). Dan was very happy as it had a pool - I swear he was a fish in a previous life... Anyhow we had a 5am (yes 5am again!) game drive into the Chobe. So we have arrived back from the Delta safe and sound and it was a bit 50/50 to be honest - if we have to be totally honest it wasn't our favorite place, and think it's a bit overrated! After a 3 hour bus ride, a 2 hour polling boat ride in hollowed out sausage trees - the highlight of the 2 days. So it was onto Maun the gateway to the Okavango Delta - we arrived mid afternoon and the camp was really nice - ran by a couple of Kiwis. Pool and bar was definitely appreciated. An early start and it was into Botswana. The borders here are quite funny - in that you can happily cross then without anyone knowing. So we entered civilization for a night in the place of Windhoek - the capital of Namibia. I seriously started to forget what it looked like. Well this town is nothing like Africa - more like a mini Austria. Very colonialised which sets in with its history.
