So with a very sad heart we had to leave Bora Bora, spending a single night in Tahiti before travelling to Auckalnd in New Zealand. This trip was a bit bumpy becuase of the terbulance, but all in all not uncomfortable - we crossed the dateline and lost a whole 25 hours - therefore no jetlag as we arrive at the time we thought we would only a day later! We had hired a campervan for our whistle stop tour of New Zealand planning on doing both islands in 3 weeks! (we shalls see).
Our van we have called Vinny - we have all the camping equipment we need including a portable Stove, sink, esky etc... and the couch in the back folds down into a comfortable double bed. We drove down to Rotarua for our first stop, and saw the most tremendous sunset that made the entire sky go red. We explored the volcanic region seeing boiling mudpools, geysers and the beautiful lake that starts the region of the Kiwi Lake District. Obviously not as nice as our Lake District though!!!!!
A beautiful destination with so much to offer - it was a good day spent here.
