Viva La Mexico!
And Dave hears the new Mexican signing for Fulham did a good job on his debut.
Mexico has been gorgeous so far, we firstly stayed in the Mexican Riveria just south of Cancun. Our first port of call was Playa Del Carmen where we stayed in a luxury hotel for 2 nights and believe me the aircon was worth the money - its super hot! and very sticky...
Anyhow on our first day we visited Chichen Itza, the famous Mayan ruins sight. This was worth every penny, as it was not very busy and awe inspiring. The centre temple and ball court were incredible to see. We also got our first experience of the rainy season - as it stormed for a good 15 minutes soaking us all. Along with the temple, there is also a sacrifical waterhole or cenote which was very interesting to see.
Anyhow we had another day in Playa before we left for Tulum where we stayed mainly by the pool and explored the white sandy beach. Stunning setting with terquiose ocean.
we hav met up with our travelling group and had some drinks and tomorrow we head to Tulum, which is an hour south to stay in huts on the beach, hopefully the rain lays off a bit!
