We arrived in LA and the first thing that hit us was how cold it was!! We are staying in Santa Monica which is an hour bus ride outside of LA, it is a really nice area though.

On our first day we did a tour all around LA, it started by going around all the stars homes. Some of them are huge, we saw Adam Sandlers, Tom Hanks,Jim Carrey and Phil Collins houses just to name a few. Most of them you can see but some have built walls so high that you can only see the roof. We then went to Rodeo drive to check out the shops, there is no way we could afford anything in any of the shops. It was time to go to the Hollywood Hall of Fame, it was great seeing all the stars on the pavement and also outside the chinese theatre there are handprints and footprints of famous people. The only problem is there are so many people around!! Time for the Hollywood sign we took lots of pictures (as did everyone else). We came back to Santa Monica and looked around the shops. We then went out to dinner with a girl from our room. We had Indian, it was brilliant. We also found a British pub, and next door was a British shop!! You don't realise how much stuff you miss from home.

We went to Universal Studios on our last day in LA. We went right by where they are having a writers strike but we didn't see anyone we knew. The first ride we went on was a haunted house. If you thought Emma was brave you are so wrong!!! You had to walk around the haunted house, but there were people dressed up and they kept appearing out of nowhere.Emma has never been so scared in all her life, she screamed so much!! When that was over we went on a studio tour, we saw where they film Desperate housewives and even drove down Wysteria lane. While we were there Angelina Jolie was filming wth Clint Eastwood, we saw the film set but didn't see them!! We went on a few rides before going back to pack for Las Vegas!!
